Booking terms & conditions.
Version v1.0 | September 2026
These terms apply to every Saltline Studios booking. By paying your deposit, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and every guest in your party.
1. Service Provider
All bookings are made with Saltline Studios LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Saltline Studios," "we," "us"), operating at saltlinepilates.com. When you book, your agreement is with Saltline Studios.
Saltline Studios designs and hosts the Pilates experience and handles all booking, payment, and guest communication. The vessel is owned and operated by an independent, licensed charter operator ("Vessel Partner") identified in your booking confirmation. The Vessel Partner provides the vessel, a licensed captain, and crew.
2. The Experience
Every Saltline Studios charter includes:
- A private charter on a party catamaran, with the length set by your package
- A licensed captain and crew
- A 50-minute mat Pilates session led by a certified instructor while the vessel is anchored
- Pilates mats and props
- Bluetooth Sound System
A typical charter runs: Cruise out, Pilates at anchor, lounge and swim time, cruise back. Guests are welcome to join the Pilates session or relax on board instead.
The price you see is the price you pay. It covers the vessel, captain, fuel, and your instructor, with no hidden fees.
3. Packages & Guest Limits
Your guest count cannot exceed your package limit or the capacity of the vessel assigned to your charter. The captain, crew, and instructor do not count toward your guest total. Your final guest count is due 24 hours before departure. Guests beyond the confirmed count may be denied boarding.
4. Pricing & Add-Ons
Current pricing is published at saltlinepilates.com/charters and may change. The price in your booking confirmation email is the price that applies to your charter.
Optional add-ons, such as bartending service, photographer, catering, DJ, are available at additional cost. Add-ons must be requested in advance. Lead times vary by add-on and will be confirmed when you request it. All add-ons are subject to availability.
5. Booking, Deposit & Payment
Your booking is confirmed only after we receive a 25% deposit of the total charter price and you receive a confirmation email from us. The remaining 75% balance is due by the day of the charter, before departure.
Payments are processed through Stripe by ACH bank transfer or credit card. Processing fees are added to your payment at checkout and passed through to Stripe: 0.8% for ACH (maximum $5) and 2.9% + $0.30 for credit cards. Card statements will show "SALTLINE STUDIOS".
All deposits are non-refundable except as described in Section 7 (Cancellation by Saltline Studios) and Section 8 (Weather, Storms & Safety).
Bookings require at least 24 hour advance notice. Add-ons need additional lead time, so some may not be available for bookings made close to the charter date.
6. Cancellation & Rescheduling by You
All deposits are non-refundable.
- 7 or more days before departure: You may reschedule once to any available date within 6 months at no additional cost.
- Less than 7 days before departure: No rescheduling. Your deposit is forfeited.
- No-show: The full charter price is due. Arriving more than 30 minutes late without notice counts as a no-show.
Your charter cannot be changed once your deposit is paid. Reducing your guest count does not reduce your charter price.
7. Cancellation by Saltline Studios
If we cancel your charter for a reason other than weather or guest conduct, such as a vessel mechanical issue, Vessel Partner cancellation, or instructor unavailability, you may choose a full refund of all amounts paid or a reschedule to any available date within 6 months.
We may substitute a comparable vessel or another certified instructor to keep your charter on schedule. If a substitute vessel has a lower capacity than your confirmed guest count, you may choose a full refund instead.
A refund of amounts paid is the full extent of our responsibility for a cancellation by Saltline Studios.
8. Weather, Storms & Safety
The captain has sole discretion to cancel, delay, shorten, or change the route of any charter due to weather, sea state, or safety concerns. The captain's decision is final. Pilates requires calm conditions at anchor, so the captain and instructor may also shorten or modify the session.
Captain cancels before departure: You may reschedule to any available date within 6 months at no additional cost. No refunds are issued for weather cancellations.
Named storms: If a tropical storm or hurricane watch or warning is issued for Miami-Dade County within 48 hours of your charter, we will reschedule you at no cost / you may choose a reschedule or a refund.
Weather during the charter: If the captain returns to dock early, a rescheduling credit for the remaining time may be offered at Saltline Studios' discretion.
Rain or overcast skies alone are not grounds for cancellation. If you cancel based on a forecast, the standard policy in Section 6 applies.
9. Health & Fitness Participation
Participation in the Pilates session is voluntary. You may modify any movement, take breaks, or sit out at any time.
Pilates on a vessel involves exercise on a surface that may move. Consult a physician before participating if you are pregnant, recovering from an injury or surgery, or managing any medical condition. Tell your instructor about any injuries or limitations before the session begins.
Our instructors are certified fitness professionals, not medical providers, and do not give medical advice. An instructor may ask a guest to stop participating if they believe continuing is unsafe.
10. Waivers & Age Requirements
Every guest must sign Saltline Studios' Release and Waiver of Liability before boarding. We will send the waiver link to the booking contact after confirmation, and all waivers are due 24 hours before departure. Guests without a signed waiver will not be permitted to board, and no refund or credit will be issued.
All guests must be at least 18 years old.
11. Guest Conduct & Alcohol
- All guests must follow the instructions of the captain, crew, and instructor at all times.
- BYOB: Guests 21 and older may bring beer, wine, and spirits. Valid ID may be requested.
- Intoxication: Visibly intoxicated guests may be excluded from the Pilates session or denied boarding.
- Prohibited: Illegal drugs, smoking and vaping.
- Swimming: Allowed only when the captain permits it. No lifeguard is on duty.
The captain may end the charter and return to dock if any guest's behavior creates a safety risk or disrupts the charter. No refund or credit will be issued in that case.
12. Damage & Personal Property
The booking contact is responsible for any damage caused by their party to the vessel, furnishings, mats, or equipment beyond normal wear. Excessive mess may result in a cleaning fee.
Saltline Studios and the Vessel Partner are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought on board.
13. Scheduling & Timing
Your departure time, return time, and marina location are listed in your booking confirmation. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure.
Late arrivals do not extend your charter. It ends at the scheduled return time. Extending a charter at your request requires captain approval and is billed per hour.
14. Outside Vendors
Photographers, decorators, or other vendors you bring must be approved by Saltline Studios before your charter. Approved vendors count toward your guest limit, must sign the waiver, and are your responsibility, including their conduct and any damage they cause.
15. Photography & Media
Saltline Studios may photograph or film charters for use on our website and social media. If you or any guest prefer not to be featured, tell us in writing before your charter or tell your instructor before departure.
Photos and videos taken by guests are for personal use. Tag us at @saltlinepilates if you share them. Commercial use of content filmed on board requires written permission from Saltline Studios.
16. Gratuity
Gratuity is not included in the charter price and is not required. If you enjoyed your experience, a tip of 15 to 20% is customary and is shared among your instructor, captain, and crew. Tips can be given in cash on board / at checkout / by Venmo.
17. Assumption of Risk & Release
Guests participate at their own risk. Charters and on-water fitness carry inherent risks, including drowning, slips and falls, muscle strain and other exercise injuries, loss of balance on a moving surface, sun and heat exposure, seasickness, and contact with marine wildlife. By boarding the vessel, each guest accepts these risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, guests release Saltline Studios LLC and its members, managers, employees, instructors, and contractors, and the Vessel Partner and its owners, captain, and crew, from all claims for personal injury, death, property damage, or loss arising from the charter, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct. The signed Release and Waiver in Section 10 applies in addition to this section.
18. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
Saltline Studios' total liability for any claim related to a booking will not exceed the amount you paid for that charter. Saltline Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
The booking contact agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Saltline Studios and the Vessel Partner from claims, damages, and costs arising from the conduct of the booking contact or any guest in their party, or from a breach of these terms.
19. Payment Disputes
If you have a concern about a charge, contact us at saltlinepilates@gmail.com before filing a dispute with your bank or card issuer. We keep a record of your acceptance of these terms, including your name, email, the date and time, and the terms version, as confirmation of your agreement.
20. Privacy
We collect the information needed to manage your booking, including contact details, guest names, and signed waivers. Payments are processed by Stripe, and Saltline Studios does not store full card numbers. We share only what the Vessel Partner needs to operate your charter, such as your guest count and passenger names.
21. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable federal maritime law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
22. Changes & General Provisions
We may update these terms at any time. The version shown when you paid your deposit applies to your booking.
Saltline Studios is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, such as severe weather, port or waterway closures, or government orders. These are handled under Section 8.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms, your booking confirmation, and the signed Release and Waiver are the entire agreement between you and Saltline Studios.
